Messy Church continues today

Saturday March 5th
It's messy Church again today in its regular spot on the first Saturday of the month. I'sEaster at the end of this Month so we are having a Messy Easter time today. Families can bring children for Crafts, Games and a short talk, before sharing a meal together. There is no charge as it's church but if you fel you can help, we have a basket for donations.
 

Messy Church keeps Growing

Another bustling and busy Messy Church in November. We are now looking forward to Messy Christmas on Saturday 5th December.
Last Sunday's high winds nearly ripped our Messy banner away - with more wind and rain you might have to keep an eye out for it as it sails past!
Fun, Food and lots of activities for all the family - come along on Saturday.

Visit from Jane Waites BMS

Jane Waites came today, Sunday 19th July and shared with us some of what has been happening over recent years while she has been teaching at the International School in Tirana. Life has been busy there in a country of huge needs. Tirana now has street names and direction signs and working pedestrian crossings all to aid getting around a bit safer - you still have to watch out for random unmarked potholes big enough to disappear from view or prang your car. Our next all age service is Sunday 15th March

Everyone is invited to come and join in our all age services. In addition Lent meetings are taking place on Wednesday evenings in teh run up to Easter. If you are interested they start at 7:45pm and include a tea or coffee.

New Year Walk

January 1, 2015
Once again a group from HBC gathered at the Visitors Center and embarked on a stroll round Hollingworth Lake. It was quite breezy and a bit overcast but the main downpour came after we walked.

The appetite we generated went into a pub lunch at the Beach. As the drizzle was settling in the men (with one or two ladies) were sent to bring the cars closer. Everyone had left for home by the time the rain really started.

We had a good walk in good company and blew a few of those cobwebs off. Back to ...

Carol Singing in the Market

We had an enjoyable hour of carol singing the the Market today. Sang ourselves horse and it was nice to see people joining in.

It's a funny thing but adults don't sing the carols as much these days. They are often 'relegated' to primary schools or services on the TV. Come and join in at our Christmas services if you fancy a sing along of these old songs.

10:30am on December 25th is our family Christmas Day Service.
You can also join in with us on Saturday 20th December at 11am when we leading Carols in the Market. Come along or just listen while you shop!
